SharePoint 2007 as a Development Platform
Tuesday 4th March 2008
6.00pm - 8.00pm
(Doors open 5.30pm for a buffet and refreshments)
Technium CAST
Parc Menai, Bangor
Guest speakers: Chris Wood & Jason Evans from Draig Technology Ltd
The last few years have seen a control shift in the area of content management, both in terms of unstructured content (such as web pages) and now also structured content (such as databases).
What was once within the realm of trained technical staff is now devolved to empowered non-technical people.
Platforms such as Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 (MOSS07) now take this shift even further, devolving the construction of simple business applications to end users who are more familiar
with their business domain and their problems. But where does this leave the traditional development team?
Chris Wood and Jason Evans from Draig Technology Ltd will look at how this shift can be managed within a software development team, and also demonstrate the opportunities that MOSS07
presents to technical and non-technical users alike.
This event forms part of the ITWales Software Development programme and is FREE to attend, however advance booking is essential.
Booking for this event is now closed
