Working with invisible customers How you can understand more about your website traffic
Thursday 29th May 2008
6.30pm - 8.30pm (Doors open at 6pm for registration)
The Village Hotel
Swansea, SA1 8QY
Guest speaker: Vicky Brock, Web Analytics Association / Highland Business Research
Doing business online means you are trying to satisfy people you can't see. Sometimes, you can't even be sure they're human!
Guest speaker Vicky Brock will explain how there are some tools and techniques you can use to really understand how people use your website - and how that impacts your business bottom line.
That way, you can see what you're doing right and more importantly where people are lost, where they're abandoning your site and where your website is failing to deliver your business the value you
demand.
If you have ever asked 'is my website really working for my businesses?', 'what are people doing on my site?' or 'is this online marketing working?', this event is for you.
Vicky Brock is Co-Founder of Highland Business Research, an intelligence agency based in Scotland. She authors the
TrackingTourism.com blog and is about to release The Data Detective Kit, a DIY research guide for small businesses.
Vicky is a Board Director of the Web Analytics Association and has delivered WAA Basecamp training in London,
Washington and San Francisco. She contributed to the UBC Web Analytics Certificate program and is Course Director in EMarketing and Web Value Optimization for the University of the Highlands and
Islands.
She regularly speaks at conferences on web analytics and online research, with recent sessions including eMetrics, the Research 2008 Conference, the Internet Marketing Conference and ITB
Berlin.
Her clients include the Scottish Government, HP and VisitScotland. When Vicky isn't working, teaching or blogging at TrackingTourism.com, she tends to be busy maximising the floral return on
investment from her garden.
This event forms part of the ITWales business development programme and is FREE to attend, however advance booking is required. Following the presentation there will be a buffet and opportunity
for some valuable networking.
Booking for this event is now closed.
