Oh! What a Virtual World
Creating virtual worlds with VRML

Guest speakers: Dr Andrew Davis Csci CCHem MRSC, School of Chemistry, Bangor University

This event will demonstrate how to create your own virtual world using VRML (Virtual Reality Modelling Language), via a series of examples. Topics to be discussed include prototyping, haptics and computational steering. The event will also focus on current expertise in visualisation / virtual reality within Wales.

With over 5 years experience in virtual reality gained through collaborations with the School of Computing at Bangor University, Dr Andrew Davis is an expert in molecular visualisation within the School of Chemistry using a 3D-immersive Fakespace Powerwall.



This event forms part of the ITWales Software Developers programme, which is supported by the Welsh Assembly Government.

The event is FREE to attend, however advance booking is essential.
