e-Crime Wales Summit goes online to meet demand

This week's e-Crime Wales Summit at The Celtic Manor in Newport on Wednesday 11th June is being broadcast live over the Internet because demand is so high among visitors who can't attend.

e-Crime Wales logoThe event - which is targeted at all Welsh businesses - will have to cater for 450 delegates, around 100 more than originally planned.

Hundreds more who are unable to travel will now have the benefit of experiencing the event from the comfort of their computer. Businesspeople interested in taking part are encouraged to visit www.ecrimewales.com/webstreaming.

State-of-the-art 'video streaming' technology provided by Cardiff based company MultiStream is being used to broadcast the proceedings of the event which will include speakers such as Deputy First Minister Ieuan Wyn Jones AM, Alun Michael MP, and Thomas Karlsson from Microsoft.

Barrie White, Managing Director of Cowbridge-based equipment retailer BB List Ltd said, "My customer commitments mean I just can't get away from the office, but I do want to see many of the subjects being discussed. e-Crime is an important issue for my company and now I don't have to miss out."
