Firms told: Improve procurement channels

IT companies should work to ensure that procurement becomes a central aspect of business running, it has been claimed.

Such measures would enable firms in this department to improve value of the business and also improve relationships with suppliers, said BravoSolution, something that may be news for those with IT firms in Wales.

Managing director of the firm Nader Sabbaghian suggested that IT companies should act now because of harsh economic conditions.

He commented: "Price pressures in the UK are running at their highest level for a decade, while the need to achieve demonstrable cost savings is more pressing than ever."

And improved management of relationships with suppliers could mean that a greater level of success is seen by IT companies, he noted.

In other news, the Cowan Group recently claimed that newer forms of social networking will be more popular for computer users than traditional methods such as email.
