Internet can help in market research drives, cliams firm

Smaller firms can use the internet to carry out marketing drives that are not greatly expensive, it has been claimed.

While larger firms may be able to use various research methods, smaller outfits may find that a targeted approach is more successful, the Market Research Society (MRS) noted.

Vice president of the MRS and chief exchanger at the Insight Exchange, Simon Lidington asserted that money can be saved via these techniques, something that could interest those with IT firms in Wales.

"You can conduct cost-effective research online or by telephone or using qualitative techniques, which will give you feedback that won't cost you a fortune," he recommended.

He added that the MRS has a special buyers' guide that can come in very handy during these channels.

Moreover, he exclaimed, there are numerous consultants who work out of regional offices and can therefore generate a new level of support.

The MRS has said that online research comes with numerous benefits, such as the ability to reach out to many people in one go.
