Grants offered to Welsh firms
Fresh grants are being made available to businesses in parts of Wales, as part of a new European funding and council initiative.
The European Union convergence cash will aim to give support to companies in Neath Port Talbot, Pembrokeshire, Ceredigion, Carmarthenshire and Swansea, reports the BBC.
Deputy first minister Ieuan Wyn Jones argued that the injection of £19 million - instigated by local councils - into the south-west of the country is great news for locals, news that may also interest
those with IT firms in Wales.
"It is the first local authority-led scheme to be approved under the new convergence programme and it is the first of many I expect to come through the pipeline very shortly indeed," he told the
news source.
He added that existing businesses should see the positives from the changes, while other newer outfits could also benefit.
In other news that could interest those in the area, the Market Research Society said that smaller firms can use the internet to research their markets.
