Equal Opportunities Commission
The EOC is the expert body in Great Britain on equality between women and men. The web site contains useful information and links, including an overview of the Sex Discrimination and Equal Pay Acts, and various rights at work.

A new website, aimed specifically at legal advisers in the workplace, has been launched by the Equal Opportunities Commission (EOC). Currently, the website only covers sexual harassment, but over the next 12 months, information will be added about: - equal pay - recruitment and selection - maternity and paternity rights - family friendly working hours.

Commission for Racial Equality
A range of useful information. You can download many of their publications. Publications relating to Employment and Training include a good practice guide for small firms on race, sex & disability: "Equal opportunities in Wales -it's your business too"

Equality Direct
The Government has launched a new helpline (0845 600 3444) and website to help owner managers gain a better understanding of equality law. Open to businesses in Wales as well as in England.

Chwarae Teg
Chwarae Teg is an independent organisation set up in 1992 to promote and develop the role of women in the workforce in Wales.

Disabled Entrepreneurs Network
A new online resource to help disabled people to develop and grow their own business.

Disability - on the agenda
Government website with a range of disability information, including details about the Disability Discrimination Act.

Disability Rights Commission
The Disability Rights Commission (DRC) is an independent body set up by the Government to help secure civil rights for disabled people. Website includes a wide range of information some of which is aimed at employers.

Disability Discrimination Act
Check out the DDA website for information on the latest stage of the Disability Discrimination Act - Access to goods & services. People running shops, restaurants, sports grounds and council facilities have to take "reasonable" steps to ensure they can be used by disabled people. You can also read an Introduction for Small and Medium-sized Businesses on the DDA web site.
There are also links to Part 2 of the Act which relates to employment provisions.

Age Positive
This is the Web site for the UK government’s Age Positive campaign. There are news items, discussions, case studies and publications on the issue of age discrimination and good practice in the UK workforce. The Code of Practice on Age Diversity in Employment is available online. There are links to other sites on legislation and the New Deal 50 plus.

Employers Forum on Age
From an employment perspective, the dramatic drop in numbers of young people coming into the labour market is beginning to have a huge impact on the pool from which employers are able to recruit new employees.
