Public Contracts

Find buyers for your products or services.

National Assembly
Main procurement site for the Assembly. You register your company and are informed when suitable tender contracts become available for you to tender for. The Assembly budget is huge and they buy a vast range of services and products across Wales so why not get a piece of the action.

Office of Government Commerce
The OGC has announced measures in collaboration with the Small Business Service (SBS) to allow SMEs a better chance of landing government contracts. The new initiative means that businesses are no longer required to produce three years worth of accounts before they can tender for public contracts. Copies of 'Supplier Financial Appraisal Guidance' can be obtained from the OGC Service Desk on 0845 000 4999 or downloaded from this website as a PDF file.

Tendering for Government Contracts
Produced jointly by the SBS and the OGC this booklet aims to help you in three ways. Firstly it will tell you about where to find opportunities within the public sector. Secondly it will explain how you can bid for work. Thirdly, it will advise you of the further contacts you may need to make. You can view or download it from the website or order a paper copy.

Xtender

Tenders Direct
This website provides access to over 30,000 current government and utility company contracts in the UK and Europe. The database is updated with 400 new tender notices every day to ensure that the information is fresh and accurate. Registration is free and there is no charge to search for notices or to view a summary of the requirements. A small charge is levied if you choose to download the full document.

myTenders.com

TED: Tenders Electronic Daily
A database containing all calls for tender published in the S series of the Official Journal of the European Communities. Access via the Internet is free of charge. There are detailed help pages but it is not easy to use for an inexperienced searcher. If you are starting to look for business opportunities in Europe, it is well worth seeking expert advice from the Wales Euro Info Centre. They are geared to helping small to medium sized Welsh enterprises profit from business links throughout the EU. Visit their web site to see what is on offer.
